Days like no other

When we opened our doors on Monday, we couldn’t have foreseen the incredible generosity of so many people being reflected in the donations we received.

We shall remember this week for a long time.  These pictures only tell part of the story.

Taylor Wimpey arrived with both food donations and a very welcome cheque (main photo above) and the donations continued throughout the day.

Thank you also to CEVA Logistics, Swanmore Primary School, St Peter’s Curdridge, Droxford Church and Post Office and Platinum Facilities.

Part of the donations from Swanmore Primary School being delivered by Mr Paterson the Headteacher

Tuesday brought a fresh wave of donations including from Whiteley and in particular from Droxford Junior School whose collection filled the Headteacher’s car to overflowing!

Our team worked tirelessly throughout Monday and Tuesday to both manage the donations coming in and to prepare individual food parcels for the families we support.

Thanks to you, Christmas will be just that little bit better for so many people.

Thank you from all of us at the Meon Valley Food Bank.
